These Terms of Service explain the rules for using OneSell, a cloud point-of-sale service for shops, cafes, repair centres, garages, service businesses and cargo boats in the Maldives. Please read them. By creating an account or using OneSell you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the business you register.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
"OneSell", "we" and "us" mean the operator of the OneSell service. "You" means the business that registers an account and the person who registers it. "Staff" means anyone you give a login or PIN. "Customers" means the people you sell to. Contact details are on our Contact page. These terms cover the OneSell website, the point-of-sale app, the driver and customer pages, the admin tools and any add-on or website we provide to you.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and have the authority to register the business.
- Give true details when you sign up and keep them up to date, including your email address and mobile number.
- Keep your password and your staff PINs private. You are responsible for everything done with your account and your staff's logins.
- Choose the right role for each staff member. Owners and managers can see sales, stock, customers and settings. Give those roles only to people you trust.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You can sign out of every device from Settings and we can help you reset a password.
- A driver link is a private key to that driver's runs. Share it only with the driver. You can create a new link at any time, which stops the old one working.
3. Free trial
Every new business gets a 14-day free trial of the plan chosen at sign-up. No card is needed. You may also try one higher plan free for 14 days, once, and try each add-on free for 14 days, once each. When a trial ends, the features that belong to the higher plan or add-on lock again. Everything you entered is kept.
4. Plans, limits and prices
- OneSell is sold as Starter, Business and Pro plans. Each plan has a price per month in Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR) and limits, for example on users, branches, products and how many days of reports are shown. The current prices and limits are shown on our website and in your account.
- Extra users and extra branches can be added to a plan for a monthly fee shown in your account.
- Paying for a whole year costs ten months.
- If you reach a limit, OneSell tells you. It never deletes what you already have. Sales and records beyond your plan's report history are kept safe and are shown again if you move to a plan that includes them.
- We may change prices, plans and limits. We will give notice in the app or by email before a change affects you, and a change applies from your next payment period.
5. Add-ons
Some features are optional add-ons. Business includes the growth pack for your kind of business and Pro includes every add-on. One-time add-ons you bought stay yours. Monthly add-ons run for the months you paid for and lock when that time ends. We may stop selling an add-on, but we will not remove one you have paid for during the period you paid for.
6. Payment
- You pay by bank transfer to the account shown in your OneSell account, then upload your transfer slip. We switch your plan on after we check the payment. Please allow time for checking in working hours.
- You are responsible for any bank charges. Use the reference shown so we can match your payment.
- If we cannot match a payment we may reject the slip and ask you to upload a new one.
- Payments for a period that has started are not refunded, except where the law requires it or where we made a mistake. If something went wrong, contact us and we will try to put it right.
7. When a plan ends
When your paid period or trial ends there is a grace period of 7 days. After that your account becomes read-only: you can still look at your sales, customers and reports and export your data, but you cannot make new sales or changes. Pay again to switch everything back on. We do not delete your data because a payment is late.
8. Your data and your customers' data
- Your sales, products, stock, customers, staff and settings are yours. We do not claim ownership of them.
- You give us permission to store and process that data in order to run OneSell for you. Our Privacy Policy explains how.
- You can export your data at any time, including after your account becomes read-only.
- You are responsible for having the right to collect and use your customers' details, for keeping them accurate, and for using them lawfully. Only send marketing or win-back messages to customers who have agreed to receive them. OneSell keeps a marketing-consent setting for each customer, and you must respect it.
- We keep each business's data separate from every other business.
9. Tax, receipts and your own obligations
OneSell helps you issue receipts and tax invoices and work out GST. You remain responsible for setting the correct GST rates and registration details, for the accuracy of every invoice, for filing returns with the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) and for keeping the records the law requires. Figures that OneSell works out, including a GST return summary, are a tool to help you and are not tax, legal or accounting advice.
10. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use OneSell to break the law, to cheat customers or to avoid tax;
- try to see, change or delete another business's data, or try to get around the limits, sign-in checks or security of the service;
- upload viruses, send spam, or put a heavy load on the service on purpose;
- copy, resell or build a competing service from OneSell, or share your login in a way that lets people outside your business use it;
- use customer location, phone or order details for anything other than serving that order.
11. Working offline and your devices
OneSell is built to keep selling when the internet drops. Sales made offline are saved on the device and sent when it is back online. You are responsible for keeping your devices, printers, scanners and cash drawers safe, charged and working, for letting a device reconnect so offline sales can be sent, and for the data held on devices you or your staff use.
12. Messages and other services
Features such as WhatsApp, Viber, SMS and email messages, maps, SMS or payment services may depend on other companies. We are not responsible for their availability or charges. Maps use OpenStreetMap and links to Google Maps. Messages you send are your responsibility.
13. Our service and changes to it
We work to keep OneSell secure and available and we make daily backups. We may update, improve or change features and we may take the service down for maintenance. We cannot promise it will never be interrupted or free of errors.
14. Suspension and ending
- You can stop using OneSell at any time. Tell us if you want your account closed and your data removed.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other businesses at risk, or is used for unlawful purposes. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to fix it.
- When an account is closed we keep or delete data as set out in the Privacy Policy.
15. Our responsibility
- OneSell is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will meet every need of your business or be free of errors.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss of profit, loss of sales, loss of goodwill or indirect loss, or for loss caused by things outside our control such as power, internet or telephone failures, bank delays, or the acts of other companies.
- To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law.
16. Intellectual property
OneSell, its software, designs, templates and brand belong to us or our licensors. You get a right to use them while your account is active, for your own business, under these terms. Your own logo, product names, photos and content stay yours and you give us permission to show them in your receipts, menus, websites and pages.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will give notice in the app or by email before an important change affects you and show the date of the latest version at the top of this page. If you keep using OneSell after the change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, you can close your account.
18. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives. We will try to settle any disagreement by talking first. If we cannot, the courts of the Maldives can decide it.
